Meet Ozzie and Finn, quite possibly two of the cutest Doxies *ever*! Dachshunds are a breed near and dear to my heart – I grew up with a mini black and tan named Ebony, and she was such a good dog. My parents now have a little red girl and I’ve been trying to convince them that Lucy needs a friend – maybe these pictures will help?
Anyway, these two are so much fun and they really do make the perfect pair. They are both full of energy and I really enjoyed watching them run around their neighborhood – they even showed off their (very impressive) swimming skills in the lake! First up is Finn…
And here’s Oz…is it just me, or does he have “mischief” written all over his cute little face?
Thanks again Crystal, for letting me play with your fun trio!

Meet Dixie, a 1 1/2 year old Labradoodle. She’s a tennis ball fanatic, an excellent retriever, and just an all-around sweet girl! Dixie shares her home with a pair of miniature dachshunds (and they are *quite* the pair) – pictures of these two are coming soon. In the meantime, here’s Dixie!

I stopped by the Woof Gang Bakery in Sarasota last week to drop off a few of my gallery wrapped canvases, and I just had to take a few pictures of some of the “help”.
But first, the store – I *love* the decor! Recognize that pretty girl with the big smile up in the corner?
And here’s Tito – seriously one of the coolest kitties I’ve ever met. I think he must be the supervisor…
Then there’s Finn, who is one of the greeters. Isn’t he handsome!? My dogs would all like to know how they can apply for such a cool job…
Not pictured are Ozzie and Dixie, but they will be making an appearance here very soon! Be sure to stop by the Sarasota store and say hello to these guys (and to see some of my work!) – Woof Gang is located on Osprey Avenue (right off of Hillview) in Sarasota. One cute two year old should be followed by another cute two year old! Meet my good friend Parker, who also happens to be a farmer in the making. Or perhaps a dog trainer? Just look at the attention he gets from his doggie friends – I’m thinking maybe I need to hire him to assist me!

Meet Shaelyn, perhaps one of the sweetest two year olds I’ve ever met. I’m so glad I had the chance to capture her playful personality during a little impromptu photo session while I was in Indy. Isn’t she adorable? A big thanks to mom and dad for having me over, and best wishes to you and your little one on the way – I’m sure Shaelyn is going to be an awesome big sister!

Meet Waste’ Tsunka, Waste’ (pronounced wash-TAY) for short. Her name means “good dog” in Lakota (Sioux) and I’d have to say that she has most definitely lived up to her name!
I photographed Waste’ while I was up in Lafayette, Indiana visiting some of my good friends from college (I’m a Purdue alum – go Boilers!). Waste’s mom was one of my instructors back in my equestrian days and she too has left the horse world for dog training. During my visit, Waste’ showed off some of her many (very impressive) tricks! I’m so glad I had the chance to meet this sweet girl and spend some time catching up with her mom – here are a few of my favorites from our session:

While in Indy, I met up with my good friend Liza and her friend Rodrigo in Broad Ripple for what turned out to be a really fun portrait session! Talk about naturals – I’m pretty sure these two aren’t capable of taking a bad picture. I had a great time and am so glad that we had the chance to get together – here are just a few of my favorites:

Mackey is an 11 year old Rottweiler/Bull Mastiff mix who was diagnosed with terminal cancer in September 2008 and was given just one month to live. Well, it’s been nearly a year and he’s still going strong! Other than a slight limp, I thought that he looked fantastic and I can only hope that he continues to enjoy life as long as possible. He certainly is a very special and happy guy. A big thank you to his mom for having me out while I was in Indiana – I really enjoyed my time with Mackey and his brother Yogi, who you’ll be meeting very soon.
Mackey’s story is such an inspiration and a reminder that our time with our furry friends is much too short. Every day is such a gift – now go hug your pups!

I just returned from a wonderful trip to Indiana and am now in the process of sorting through over 1,600 images! I had a great time visiting with some friends that I haven’t seen in many years, and had the opportunity to do some really fun photography sessions while I was in town. Not only did I capture my usual 4 legged friends, but some two legged friends as well! Here’s a little sneak peek – more to come!

I think I set a personal record today by photographing seven dogs in one sitting! This was a really neat bunch – all rescue dogs with the exception of one, and a wide range of personalities. Here is just a little sneak peek at just a few of my favorites…
First up is Corey – Sheltie with attitude and future agility star.
Next is Beezer, a Keeshound mix – love that smile!
And Eddie, the Beagle – gotta love Beagles!
Then there’s Lil Dog, who is um, a little dog. Bichon to be exact.
And Sheena, another Keeshound with a very cool cut.
Next is Cassie, another Beagle. Did I mention that I love Beagles?
And last but certainly not least – Casey, the yellow lab.
Oh and I can’t forget the kitty! He was the session supervisor.
Whew. Hopefully I got all the names straight! Thanks Elizabeth, for having me over to photograph your kids – it was fun!
