Meet Rumble
Posted on December 31, 2009
Rumble and Keegan look so much alike that I wondered if I would be able to tell them apart – turned out to be much too easy! All I had to do is find the eyes that look like a child’s on Christmas morning! Seriously, Rumble is so animated and his expressions make me smile. He just recently made his agility debut and I’m really looking forward to seeing him at trials – I have no doubt that he’ll be a star just like his big brother Keegan!

Double Trouble
Posted on December 31, 2009
I was going to save my Keegan and Rumble images for another day, but was afraid that if I didn’t post at least one picture, I might end up with two unhappy Border Collies on my doorstep tomorrow…

Meet Suzi
Posted on December 30, 2009
I love Suzi – not only is she adorable, but she’s got a really fun personality! She reminds me a lot of my Indy girl…who is also known as a “princess” and is also “stuck” living with two boy dogs. I’m not sure about Suzi, but I think Indy would be very happy being an only child!
Did I mention that I love this girl? And her cute little tongue spots? Ahhhh, *smoosh* – what a happy face!

Two Border Collies + A Princess
Posted on December 28, 2009
I headed up to Tampa this morning for a session with a few of my favorite agility dogs. I’ll be sharing more images soon, but here’s a quick peek!
The princess first – here’s Suzi…

Rumble is not a real Border Collie; he’s a cartoon character that just happens to look like one.

And last but not least, here’s Keegan. That’s newly crowned V-NATCH Keegan, who is sporting a very serious look here.

Meet Jake
Posted on December 20, 2009
I headed down to Venice yesterday afternoon to meet Jake, a 12 year (young) Chow/Husky mix and his family. What a fun bunch! Jake is a real sweet guy – I was warned that he never took treats from people he didn’t know, but within minutes we were best buds. What can I say; I bring good cookies! Jake has some serious rock-star hair complete with natural highlights, and the softest, thickest coat I think I’ve ever seen. I can only imagine the amount of shedding involved and I have Dalmatians – a breed known for shedding 365 days a year!
We had a great time, and I want to thank Jake and his family for having me over for a really fun session!

Meet Bella
Posted on December 13, 2009
Bella is a 3 year old Poodle/Fox Terrier mix – a very sweet girl and an absolute joy to photograph! We spent a few hours together last week and in keeping with her Terrier roots, she kept going and going and going…! We managed to cover a lot of ground in her Lakewood Ranch community, which I thought was the perfect backdrop for this beautiful girl. Oh, and don’t let the pictures of her running after the cranes fool you, Bella has fabulous manners and a great recall!
I had a fabulous time hanging out with Bella and her mom…a special thanks to both of them for a wonderful morning!

A Special Project
Posted on December 3, 2009
Occasionally I will get a request for photo restoration or retouching work and while it’s not an area that I specialize in, it is something that I really enjoy doing. Today I thought I would share a special project that I recently completed – this is Buddy, a very special dog who recently passed away from cancer. Buddy’s mom had a few pictures that she loved, but thought that they could use a little work. She wanted to use the image below for her Christmas Cards this year, and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I’ll admit that doing this kind of work can sometimes be bittersweet – my heart always goes out to those who lose a special companion, but I also understand how important photographs are in keeping the memories of our loved ones alive. I’m so happy that I could give Buddy’s mom a smile, even if it was through tears.
