My new friend Eva is looking for her forever home! She is one of the sweetest little labs I’ve met and I know she’s going to be an awesome companion to some very lucky person. I could say all kinds of nice things about her, but I’ll let her do the talking (translated by her foster mom, of course)…
“Hi, I’m Eva, a three-year old Labrador Retriever with a BIG heart but only half a tail. As I am a very happy lab, my half-tail is always wagging. I am very sweet and affectionate. I walk nicely on lead, have basic obedience training, and am becoming very good at agility. I love car rides and am very well behaved. I have perfect house manners and am very devoted to the people around me. While I love children and other dogs, I have been known to steal their toys and then I keep the toys for myself – so it is best that I not be around other dogs and children.”
“I am a small lab (45 lbs), have been spayed, up-to-date on my vaccinations, and am on monthly heartworm preventative.”
If you would like to find out more about me and/or make an appointment to meet me, please call my foster mom, Hera, at 941-922-5704 or send her an e-mail to OceanWolfAgility@comcast.net.
Thanks, Eva, for being such a sweetie…I hope you find your forever home very soon!

We’re enjoying some lovely weather here in Sarasota this week…fortunate for all of the spring breakers in town, and absolutely perfect for a sunset session on the beach!
I had a lovely time with baby Camille and her family. Isn’t she *gorgeous*? While I generally tend to be a big fan of color and contrast, I loved the softer, slightly vintage feel for these images…just a little peek at a few of my many favorites. So sweet!

Big thanks to everyone who came out to the first annual Celebration of Pets event and stopped by my booth to say hi! We had a great time meeting so many wonderful pet loving people!
Also, I have to thank my adorable assistant, Derby, who did a fabulous job at his first big event. It was a really long, warm day for a 5 month old puppy, but he took his job very seriously and was more than happy to greet new friends and shower them with puppy kisses!
Here are just a few candid shots from the event, including some awesome rescue pups who have hopefully found their forever homes!
And now for the really fun announcement – I have a winner in my $200 gift certificate giveaway! I used to have Peyton draw a name out of a basket, but since there was always a risk that the paper wouldn’t be returned to me in one piece, I decided to use a random number generator this time. I’ll admit that it’s not nearly as fun, but at least it’s foolproof.
And the winner is…#29 – “J Summers”. Congratulations!
Thanks again to everyone involved (especially Pet Pages) in making this a really awesome day for Florida pet lovers . We’re already looking forward to next year’s event, which I hear is going to be even bigger and better!

I really enjoy working with multiple dogs during a session, and when they are different breeds, it’s a plus! I have to say that this group was probably one of the more diverse that I’ve worked with, but I love how perfectly they complement each other. Such a fun bunch!
First up, a group shot – minus my friend Harry, who was likely attached to my leg at the time. Small dogs unite!
Timmy is a Chihuahua (mix?) and his expressions crack. me. up. They range from soft and sweet to…hmm, I think this first image says it best.
Andy is a Chinese Crested and is also quite the character…I think he might be one of those serious actor/model types who wants to be known for more than just his rockstar hair. : )
Oliver, a Brussels Griffon, was the shy one in the group. I get the impression that he was silently laughing at me in these shots…what a face!
And last, but certainly not least, is Harry! He’s also a Brussels and is such a sweet, sweet little guy. While the others were busy running around doing their thing, Harry could be found right by my side.
“Oh hi! Cookies for me? Yes, please!”
Harry has a cleft lip (also known as a harelip) which does give him a funny little smile, but also makes him extra special. Did I mention how sweet he is?
I had such a nice time hanging out with these guys; thank you “S” family for a lovely session!

The first annual Pet Pages Celebration of Pets was a tremendous success! It’s estimated that over 4,500 pet lovers were in attendance at Saturday’s event. While I have quite a few pictures to share, I thought I’d start with some from one of my favorite events – dock diving!
It was a perfect day to spend time in the water! In fact, at one point I was *this* close to jumping in the pool to cool off. Lucky dogs – needless to say, they were having a grand time! Here are just a few of my many favorites…
Have you ever seen a dock diving Bulldog? Here’s Priscilla – she might not be the “ultimate air dog”, but she definitely was a crowd favorite! She has to wear a life jacket to keep from sinking. Go Priscilla go!
If you were a participant in the dock diving event and would like to see more images, please feel free to contact me!
Also, be sure to stop back by later this week for more pictures from the 2011 Celebration of Pets. I’ll also be announcing the winner of a $200 gift certificate from Simply Spotted Photography!
