Meet Angel
Posted on July 19, 2010
Angel is a 5 year old Lab/Golden mix - I think that makes her a Labragolden? In any case, she is a very sweet, very playful, and very pretty girl!

Angel is pretty much a frisbee nut - *all* she wanted to do is play with the frisbee. So we played! I just love her expression in this image…so intense!

Unfortunately Angel got pretty hot playing outside and started to look a little like a grizzly bear with the world’s largest tongue…

So we decided to move inside so she could cool off. Luckily for me, I had a beautiful red wall to work with!

And finally one more image of Angel’s kitty friend. Sorry kitty…I don’t remember your name, but please don’t jump on my head!

Thanks again to Angel and her family for a great session!

Meet Bimini
Posted on June 22, 2010
Bimini is such an awesome girl - she’s a perfect example of just how wonderful a shelter pup can be. Sweet, smart, playful, and absolutely gorgeous! Although her exact mix is unknown, her mom thinks she might have some Ridgeback in her - I think that’s definitely a possibility, especially after watching her move. And her eyes are amazing - thoughtful, inquisitive, and very expressive!
Although our recent session was focused primarily on Nala, her older sister, I’m so glad that I got the chance to spend some time with Bimini. She was so much fun! Here are just a few of my favorites…

Meet Tessa
Posted on May 29, 2010
Tessa is 12 1/2 years old young and is sweet, beautiful, and has such a wonderful personality. I just love her dark brown eyes and the little bit of pigment missing around her mouth that makes it look like she’s sticking her tongue out! Such a pretty, pretty girl.
Unfortunately Tessa was recently diagnosed with advanced bone cancer. I so wish that I had more appropriate words, but all I can say is…CANCER SUCKS. It’s just heartbreaking to see dogs like Tessa struggle with such a devastating disease. She was such a trooper during our session though, and was more than happy to hang out and show off some of her tricks (she has a *great* howl). Thank you Tessa, for putting up with me even though I know you’re not a big fan of the camera…what a good girl!
One thing is clear - Tessa loves her mom, and her mom loves her. Cheryl, thank you so much for inviting me into your home and letting me capture your sweet girl…I’ll be thinking of you both.

Courteous Canines
Posted on May 27, 2010
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of photographing Angelica’s entire canine crew - they were a really fun bunch! Well, this past weekend I headed back up to Tampa and this time I got to play with some of their friends and fellow students at Courteous Canine. Even though it was HOT (welcome to summer in Florida!) everyone seemed to have a great time. With several outdoor areas for agility, an indoor (air conditioned) training building, and a DOCK JUMPING POOL, what more could a dog possibly want!?
Suzi would like for me to get out of her way, thank you very much.

You may remember Keegan, the red Border Collie I photographed last December. Not only is he gorgeous, but he’s also incredibly athletic and I might even use the word “graceful” when I watch him on the agility course. Now Keegan, you know I adore you, and please don’t take this the wrong way…but I’m not sure you’re going to score any style points in the sport of dock jumping. But you’re still absolutely adorkable!

Perhaps Rumble can give you some pointers?

These were just a few of the pups who came out to play…hopefully I can share some more soon!
Last, but certainly not least - meet Power! He is Angelica’s new Border Collie pup and he is SO STINKIN’ CUTE!! Angelica is going to have so much fun with this little guy…that is unless he *accidently* makes his way over to my house when she’s not looking. I seem to have a never ending case of puppy fever, and Power is not helping it ONE. LITTLE. BIT.

Thanks again Angelica and friends for having me out to photograph your pups…you all did great! (And yes, even Keegan…who I’m guessing is not happy about me posting that photo and is now planning his revenge.)

Meet Ipo
Posted on April 9, 2010
Ipo (ee-po) is Hawaiian for precious, and it’s the perfect name for this 6 month old little girl. Ipo is sweet, yet sassy, and in the short time I spent with her, she managed to have me wrapped around her little paw. She wasn’t falling for any of my usual (and very reliable, I must add) tricks, and made it clear that if I wanted to take her picture, she must be compensated in treats…and don’t even think about being stingy! Such a smart girl…I just love her poodle curls, the little white patch on her chin, and the adorable kink in her tail. Her mom and dad certainly have their hands full, but I think they found the perfect match!
A big thank you to Ipo and family for a wonderful evening!

Meet Jake
Posted on December 20, 2009
I headed down to Venice yesterday afternoon to meet Jake, a 12 year (young) Chow/Husky mix and his family. What a fun bunch! Jake is a real sweet guy - I was warned that he never took treats from people he didn’t know, but within minutes we were best buds. What can I say; I bring good cookies! Jake has some serious rock-star hair complete with natural highlights, and the softest, thickest coat I think I’ve ever seen. I can only imagine the amount of shedding involved and I have Dalmatians - a breed known for shedding 365 days a year!
We had a great time, and I want to thank Jake and his family for having me over for a really fun session!
