Chief Waldo + Biker Brock
Posted on October 12, 2009
Olive the ballerina is a tough act to follow, but Chief Waldo and Biker Brock are pretty darn cool. I love Waldo’s costume (hand-made, by the way) and Brock pulls off the biker look very well…although he really isn’t a tough guy! I had such a great time – thank you Kristi (and family) for having me over for some early Halloween fun!

Olive the Ballerina
Posted on October 12, 2009
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing three awesome pups! I met two of them earlier this year so I knew that this was going to be a really fun session. And I certainly wasn’t disappointed – three dogs + costumes + five human wranglers + cheese = a big mess…but it was so much FUN! I thought I’d start with pictures of little Olive, who is going to be a ballerina this Halloween – what a perfect costume for this pretty girl!

Waldo’s Tattoo
Posted on October 11, 2009
This morning I photographed my good doggie friends Waldo and Olive (and a new friend named Brock) in their Halloween costumes. They were all extremely cute and I’ll have pics up soon, but first I had to share a picture of Waldo and his dad’s very cool tattoo! When I found out that he had gotten a tattoo made from one of the pictures I took during our last session in March, I was so excited – I’m pretty sure this is the first time one of my images has been made into a tattoo!
So here’s a few pictures of Waldo and his tattoo – note the olive on the toothpick (in honor of his little sister) – way cool!

More Peyton + The Ball
Posted on October 7, 2009
As promised, here are some more pictures of Peyton! Did I mention that he’s just a little bit ball crazy? In every single picture I took of him, he’s either chasing the ball, carrying the ball, watching the ball, retrieving the ball out of the swimming pool, or looking for the ball. IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BALL! What a cool little dog he is…

Peyton – A Peek!
Posted on October 5, 2009
Meet Peyton, a two year old Yorkie/Poodle mix. Not only does he share the same name as one of my spotty dogs, he also happens to be a Colts fan – how cool is that?! I fell in love with this little guy during our session – he’s black & white, absolutely adorable, and full of personality. Oh, and he is also a tennis ball fanatic! Look for more Peyton pictures coming soon…

Cissy – Basset Hound
Posted on September 16, 2009
Meet Cissy, a year old Basset Hound that I met and photographed while I was in Indiana. I just adore her – those sweet droopy eyes, big ol’ ears, and her little forehead wrinkles…waaay too cute! Cissy lives on a farm where I used to board and train my horse while I was up at Purdue…I really miss that place, but it’s always fun to go back and visit!

The Dachshund Duo
Posted on August 28, 2009
Meet Ozzie and Finn, quite possibly two of the cutest Doxies *ever*! Dachshunds are a breed near and dear to my heart – I grew up with a mini black and tan named Ebony, and she was such a good dog. My parents now have a little red girl and I’ve been trying to convince them that Lucy needs a friend – maybe these pictures will help?
Anyway, these two are so much fun and they really do make the perfect pair. They are both full of energy and I really enjoyed watching them run around their neighborhood – they even showed off their (very impressive) swimming skills in the lake! First up is Finn…

And here’s Oz…is it just me, or does he have “mischief” written all over his cute little face?

Thanks again Crystal, for letting me play with your fun trio!

Dixie – Labradoodle
Posted on August 27, 2009
Meet Dixie, a 1 1/2 year old Labradoodle. She’s a tennis ball fanatic, an excellent retriever, and just an all-around sweet girl! Dixie shares her home with a pair of miniature dachshunds (and they are *quite* the pair) – pictures of these two are coming soon. In the meantime, here’s Dixie!

Waste’ – Good Dog!
Posted on August 19, 2009
Meet Waste’ Tsunka, Waste’ (pronounced wash-TAY) for short. Her name means “good dog” in Lakota (Sioux) and I’d have to say that she has most definitely lived up to her name!
I photographed Waste’ while I was up in Lafayette, Indiana visiting some of my good friends from college (I’m a Purdue alum – go Boilers!). Waste’s mom was one of my instructors back in my equestrian days and she too has left the horse world for dog training. During my visit, Waste’ showed off some of her many (very impressive) tricks! I’m so glad I had the chance to meet this sweet girl and spend some time catching up with her mom – here are a few of my favorites from our session:

Meet Mackey!
Posted on August 13, 2009
Mackey is an 11 year old Rottweiler/Bull Mastiff mix who was diagnosed with terminal cancer in September 2008 and was given just one month to live. Well, it’s been nearly a year and he’s still going strong! Other than a slight limp, I thought that he looked fantastic and I can only hope that he continues to enjoy life as long as possible. He certainly is a very special and happy guy. A big thank you to his mom for having me out while I was in Indiana – I really enjoyed my time with Mackey and his brother Yogi, who you’ll be meeting very soon.
Mackey’s story is such an inspiration and a reminder that our time with our furry friends is much too short. Every day is such a gift – now go hug your pups!
