Meet Barkley | Beagle Puppy Love
Posted on July 16, 2010
Meet Barkley, a 12 week old Beagle who has to be one of the sweetest puppies I’ve ever met (and I’ve met quite a few!). To call her adorable would be an understatement - her itty bitty teeth, plump puppy belly and oh my, those *ears* - ! - she is an absolute doll.
Barkley’s mom is a first time dog owner and she is totally smitten with this sweet little girl. I loved watching how cute they were together - so much so that I actually had to remind myself that I was supposed to be taking pictures! Have I mentioned how much I *love* puppies?!
As much as I believe that anytime is the perfect time to photograph pets, puppies are only puppies for so long - they grow up so fast! And even though I have many puppy pictures of my spotty dogs, I really do regret not taking more. So my advice for my puppy owning friends is to take LOTS of pictures! And they don’t all need to be professional - although I would be *more* than happy to help out. *GRIN*
Kelsey, thank you again for having me over to meet and photograph Barkley - she is most definitely a keeper. You two are going to have *so* much fun together!

Courteous Canines
Posted on May 27, 2010
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of photographing Angelica’s entire canine crew - they were a really fun bunch! Well, this past weekend I headed back up to Tampa and this time I got to play with some of their friends and fellow students at Courteous Canine. Even though it was HOT (welcome to summer in Florida!) everyone seemed to have a great time. With several outdoor areas for agility, an indoor (air conditioned) training building, and a DOCK JUMPING POOL, what more could a dog possibly want!?
Suzi would like for me to get out of her way, thank you very much.

You may remember Keegan, the red Border Collie I photographed last December. Not only is he gorgeous, but he’s also incredibly athletic and I might even use the word “graceful” when I watch him on the agility course. Now Keegan, you know I adore you, and please don’t take this the wrong way…but I’m not sure you’re going to score any style points in the sport of dock jumping. But you’re still absolutely adorkable!

Perhaps Rumble can give you some pointers?

These were just a few of the pups who came out to play…hopefully I can share some more soon!
Last, but certainly not least - meet Power! He is Angelica’s new Border Collie pup and he is SO STINKIN’ CUTE!! Angelica is going to have so much fun with this little guy…that is unless he *accidently* makes his way over to my house when she’s not looking. I seem to have a never ending case of puppy fever, and Power is not helping it ONE. LITTLE. BIT.

Thanks again Angelica and friends for having me out to photograph your pups…you all did great! (And yes, even Keegan…who I’m guessing is not happy about me posting that photo and is now planning his revenge.)

Meet Ipo
Posted on April 9, 2010
Ipo (ee-po) is Hawaiian for precious, and it’s the perfect name for this 6 month old little girl. Ipo is sweet, yet sassy, and in the short time I spent with her, she managed to have me wrapped around her little paw. She wasn’t falling for any of my usual (and very reliable, I must add) tricks, and made it clear that if I wanted to take her picture, she must be compensated in treats…and don’t even think about being stingy! Such a smart girl…I just love her poodle curls, the little white patch on her chin, and the adorable kink in her tail. Her mom and dad certainly have their hands full, but I think they found the perfect match!
A big thank you to Ipo and family for a wonderful evening!

Mick Chicken?
Posted on July 27, 2009
Remember Mick, the extremely cute great dane/lab puppy I posted about a few weeks back? Well, he’s getting bigger every day - and apparently he’s decided that my camera is *not* to be trusted. I really can’t blame him…I have heard that big cameras are known to swallow up cute puppies!
With the help of some cookies, I think I almost have him convinced that being a doggie supermodel isn’t that bad. Almost. In the meantime, he’s earned the nickname “Mick Chicken”. Thankfully, even though he doesn’t love the camera, I think the camera still loves him - I just love his expressions!
More of Mick Chicken and his big sister Blue coming soon…
