Look, a blog post! At this rate, I might just get caught up before 2012 2013! I won’t belabor the fact that I’m such a bad blogger – instead, I will attempt to distract you with adorable little faces. : )
First up is Ginger the Min Pin – love that happy face!
Next is Duece, the King Charles; he was probably the most skeptical of this whole picture taking business, but wow, what a natural. Just look at those big brown eyes…gah!
Harley, like many Cockers I know, is such a sweet girl. And so pretty!
And last, but not least, is Foxy the Pomeranian. She cracked me up – such a fun, happy, busy little bee…with a really big personality!
I really enjoyed working with these guys – they were so much fun!
I love my senior sessions, and these two most certainly did not disappoint! Sunny is a gorgeous Rottie girl and Pede is a handsome Border Collie boy (and quite the comedian, I must add). Both are 11 years young and *super* sweet. Here are a few previews from their recent session. Happy Friday!
As promised, here are the rest of Pryce puppy’s lovely canine (and equine) family! I’m missing little Zoe, the papillon, but since she wasn’t feeling too great the morning of our session, I didn’t get too many images of her. Hopefully she forgives me. : )
First up are Owen (left) and Nike – both have awesome and highly contagious smiles, but I think Owen wins the “most likely to be a cartoon character” award.
Owen is also in charge of watching *his* two miniature horses.
Next up is Zeke. His expressions crack me up and I can’t help but to think that he knows something that I don’t…and he’s not telling!
This little guy (I forget his name) has a rockin’ hairdo!
And finally we have sweet Trace and his puppy friend, Pryce. I am so sad to report that Trace passed away the week following our session, just shy of 13 years old. I had the pleasure of knowing Trace for several years; he was a remarkable dog and I know his family is missing him terribly.
Meet Pryce, an adorable three month old German Shepherd puppy that I had the pleasure of playing with last weekend. He’s one very handsome boy and a LOT of fun!
Apparently his ears decided to take flight a few days before our session and they made for some very cute (and entertaining) images. Nothing like some big ‘ol puppy ears to make you smile!
Even though Pryce was the star of this session, I also got to play with the rest of his canine family *and* two miniature horses! I hope to share a few of those images soon.
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing three lovely Welsh Terriers – a first for me! What an entertaining trio; each a little different personality-wise, but all sharing that trademark terrier spirit. As usual, I had a really hard time picking favorites, but here are just a few…
First up is Suzu and she was probably the most animated of the group. I’m pretty sure I captured almost every expression in the book! She’s a fun, gorgeous girl who is absolutely ball CRAZY.
Next up is Taffy; she’s a very sweet girl and has the cutest little grin!
Just shy of 2 years, Rhys here is the youngest of the three. He’s a handsome guy and the perfect mix of sweet and silly.
Thanks to this terrier trio for a really fun morning!
Kylie is a gorgeous 1 1/2 year old Miniature Australian Shepherd. I had so much fun with working with her during our recent session. She’s a little shy, very sweet, a tad bit silly, and most definitely a momma’s girl! She has some of the *best* expressions – I had such a hard time picking my favorites, but here are just a few…
Kylie shares her home with five (!) of the most beautiful cats I’ve ever seen. Since we were losing daylight, I didn’t get the chance to photograph all of them, but wow – what a gorgeous family!
Thanks Kylie and family for a wonderful session!
I always have the best intentions to keep this little blog up to date, but somehow I lost a week. How does that happen!? In any case, I have had some super fun sessions that will be shared here very soon (I promise!), but in the meantime, I’ve been keeping a few (very patient) Lab friends of mine waiting…
First up is Puppy, the honorary lab of the bunch. She’s actually a Flat-Coated Retriever, but don’t tell her that! Aside from being one gorgeous girl, Puppy is also an agility superstar. She’s earned 10 (yes, 10) MACHs. And for my non-agility friends, that’s 10 AKC agility championship titles…quite an accomplishment, to say the least! I just love-love this girl.
Pukui Lekos is a very handsome boy who was rescued around the same time as Poki (see previous post) following Hurricane Charlie. He thinks that photo shoots are rather boring…I didn’t take it personally. : )
And then there’s Keiki Lekos. Keiki is also a well known Florida agility dog. She doesn’t have any MACHs (yet!), but she is one of the fastest and most *entertaining* dogs to watch on course. Just check out those muscles!! And those ears! She reminds me of a cartoon character…all she needs is a superdog cape!
Big thanks to my lab friends (and Puppy!) for a wonderful session!
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing a big ‘ol (extended) family of Labs. Labs = fun. Labs + purple door = SO MUCH FUN!
First up is Kai Lekos, a very handsome guy! Around here he’s known as MACH4 Kai (that’s 4 time Master Agility Champion to my non-agility friends). He’s a sweetie…love that lab drool. : )
Next up is Poki, and if I’m remembering correctly, she was found and rescued after Hurricane Charlie. She’s a bit of a fearful girl, but she photographs *brilliantly*. There’s just something about her…I’ve worked with many, many dogs over the years, but very few have eyes that seem to tell a story quite like hers do. Beautiful.
And last, but most certainly not least, is Paka Lolo! I love this girl – she’s also an agility champion and I remember meeting her a few years ago at a trial when she was obsessively trying to stick her nose in my armpits! Apparently she likes deodorant. : )
That’s it for part 1 of the lab tales – check back soon for part 2!
