Three peas in a pod. That’s how I would describe this little family – each one different and special in their own way, but together they make the perfect little trio. I just love them!
First up is Phoebe, a Dachshund/Beagle mix. She’s such a sweet girl and (as I previously mentioned) has the *best* ears! I love how different they look in every image. And those eyes…such a supermodel!
Rod, the Puggle, is such a funny guy – he cracks me up! He also has some talent in the multiple ear personality department – clearly learned from Phoebe. : )
And last, but not least, Zoe! This is one awesome little cat. She’s very friendly, but like many cats I’ve worked with, a little kitty paparazzi work (and catnip!) was involved. I love her markings…such a pretty girl!
Super big thanks to these guys for an awesome session!
I had a fabulous time working with this awesome trio last weekend! I’ll be sharing more images soon, but in the meantime here’s some introductions…
Phoebe = Best. Ears. Ever.

The first annual Pet Pages Celebration of Pets was a tremendous success! It’s estimated that over 4,500 pet lovers were in attendance at Saturday’s event. While I have quite a few pictures to share, I thought I’d start with some from one of my favorite events – dock diving!
It was a perfect day to spend time in the water! In fact, at one point I was *this* close to jumping in the pool to cool off. Lucky dogs – needless to say, they were having a grand time! Here are just a few of my many favorites…
Have you ever seen a dock diving Bulldog? Here’s Priscilla – she might not be the “ultimate air dog”, but she definitely was a crowd favorite! She has to wear a life jacket to keep from sinking. Go Priscilla go!
If you were a participant in the dock diving event and would like to see more images, please feel free to contact me!
Also, be sure to stop back by later this week for more pictures from the 2011 Celebration of Pets. I’ll also be announcing the winner of a $200 gift certificate from Simply Spotted Photography!
Goodbye 2010; hello 2011!
What an amazing year it was; thank you to everyone who helped make 2010 such a memorable year for Simply Spotted Photography. It’s been an absolute pleasure to meet and photograph so many wonderful pets and people over the past year, and I’m looking forward to meeting many more new friends in 2011!
To kick off the new year, I thought I would share a few images of my Derby pup. He’s 16 weeks now and growing up much too fast!
Happy New Year!
Proofs from the 2010 Mid-Florida Dalmatian Club Specialty Show and Obedience Trial held December 16-17 in Orlando are now available! Please contact me for details on how to access them online. Thank you MFDC for inviting me to be your show photographer this year!
Wow, believe it or not, Christmas is only 10 days away! My three little spotted elves and I have been so busy with holiday orders that we’re still (very) behind on blogging, but I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to our recent holiday portrait event at Fetch. Fur. Love in Tampa. I had a wonderful time and met so many awesome pups (and awesome people too)!
Fetch. Fur. Love. is an fabulous little pet boutique located on South Howard Avenue in Tampa. The owner, Rickena, is all kinds of awesome (yes, I’m very much abusing that word today), and she offers a lot of fun and unique items that you won’t find in any of those big-box pet stores. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and take a little look around! For directions, click here to visit out her website.
Not only is she super nice, but she’s also gorgeous. And her little pup, Brooks, is pretty darn handsome too!
Thanks again, Rickena and friends, for a wonderful day – I can’t wait to come back and see y’all again!
I’m excited to share the newest addition to my specialty product lineup – accordion mini book calendars! I love-love-love these little calendars so much, I’m going to be offering them as a FREEBIE with any new session scheduled between now and November 30th!
Aren’t they fun!?
Like all of my specialty products, these are custom designed and the colors and design can be changed to fit your personal style. And of course, they are also available to any of my past or current clients, so if you are interested in ordering one (or two, or three!), please contact me for details.
While regular accordion mini books are not exactly a *new* addition, since I have yet to share them here (tsk, tsk!), I thought now would be a good time to do so. These little hard covered books are the perfect size to keep in your bag or purse and feature a hidden magnetic closure. They are super cute and a great way to show off some of your favorite images!
Even though we still have a few weeks before the official start of Autumn, Labor Day weekend is typically a time to celebrate (or mourn) the end of summer. Here in Florida, I’m definitely celebrating! As much as I enjoy the idea of summer, I am *so* ready for some cooler temperatures. The weather this past week has been almost pleasant, so it definitely has me thinking about fall.
First, my dates for my annual trip back to Indiana have been finalized! I will be in the Indianapolis area from September 22-27. While I’m still working on my exact schedule, it looks like I’ll have time for one or two more photography sessions. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me, and we’ll work out the details!
Next on my “things to think about” list is…are you ready…Christmas! I know, I know – it’s only September – BUT since I’ve already had a few inquiries, I thought it would be a good time to mention that if you’ve been thinking about the possibility of giving the gift of photography this year, now is the perfect time to schedule a session. This is especially the case if you are interested in custom designed holiday cards or other speciality items that may require a little more production time. I always try to be as accommodating as possible, but November and December are usually very crazy (in a good way!) months around here so it’s good to get an early start.
Speaking of great gift ideas – I’ll admit that I’m *very* behind on sharing some of my latest and greatest specialty products, but hope to have some new samples up very soon.
I thought I’d share our 2009 holiday card – while it makes me sad to think that my cards this year will be missing Pongo, this makes me smile and is a reminder of just how special our last Christmas was together.
Peyton, Indy, and I hope that you all have a wonderful (and safe) Labor Day weekend!
I’ve always said that a sense of humor is a *requirement* if you are going to own be owned by Dalmatians. I’m pretty sure this applies to Boxers too – they are such characters!
I recently made a trip up to Tampa to meet two super awesome Boxer boys, Oscar and Bentley. They were so much fun! Because it was *really* hot out, I had a feeling that we were going to end up with quite a few funny faces, but I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had so many images from one session make me laugh as much as these did. Seriously, these guys make some of the best faces *ever*!
Bentley is the youngest of the two and while he wasn’t too sure about my camera at first, he warmed up quickly and became quite the camera hog!
Oscar came from Boxer rescue and he’s a big boy, but so very sweet!
Thank you Oscar and Bentley for being such good sports and giving me so many smiles from our session! I had a really hard time picking my favorites so I might just have to share a few more soon…
